What does a Project and Quality Manager do at BITS?
– An interview with our Project and Quality Manager Rosi. –
“What I like best is the teamwork, the pleasant working atmosphere and the fact that you can combine your private and professional life very well. I was on parental leave for a year and then I came back. That worked out great.”
Rosi has been with BITS for 4.5 years. After joining the company as a Project Manager, she also worked her way into the Quality Management area and took it over. We spoke with Rosi about her experience at BITS in 2022.
BITS:
“Hello Rosi, introduce yourself briefly. Who are you and what do you do at BITS?”
Rosi:
“So I am Rositsa, I am from Bulgaria and I am 32 years old. I have been working at BITS for 4,5 years. I work as a project and quality manager. I started my work at BITS as a project manager and then over time I got involved in the quality area and took it over. Currently I am working on concepts for software quality assurance, creating test cases, testing concrete tickets and helping with IT support tasks. Since starting at BITS, I have been able to work on many different and very exciting projects.”
BITS:
“How did you hear about BITS?”
Rosi:
“I applied directly to BITS via Xing. A few days later I had my interview, which was very exciting. I then started working at BITS directly 1-2 weeks later.”
BITS:
“It’s great that it worked out so quickly back then! How did your start at BITS go afterwards?”
Rosi:
“The start was very interesting. The colleagues were all very nice, very pleasant. I had only positive experiences. My induction also went very well and I was given enough time to familiarize myself with the topics. I had a lot of freedom, so to speak, and I was able to do a lot of preparation and get into the topics.”
BITS:
“And what exactly do you do every day at BITS?”
Rosi:
“As I said, I currently work mainly in the areas of IT quality assurance and IT support. On a day-to-day basis, I create concepts and test cases for our software projects, e.g. to test new features that have been implemented by our colleagues in development. I also help with testing and support our customers to get a grip on different application problems within different applications. In the projects I work in English and German.”
BITS:
“What would you say you like best about working at BITS?”
Rosi:
“What I like best is the teamwork, the pleasant working atmosphere and the fact that you can combine your private and professional life very well. I was actually on parental leave for a year and then I came back. That worked out great and the second induction was also very good and I was again very well received.
During pregnancy, everyone was very understanding and I worked until the end of the pregnancy. Since then, I have been working part-time so that I can also take care of my family. That’s very possible at BITS because of the flexibility.”
BITS:
“What would you recommend to applicants? Why should they apply to us or start with us?”
Rosi:
“I would say if they are looking for an interesting job and want to work with great colleagues, BITS is the best place for them.”
BITS:
“Thank you so much for your time Rosi!”
