A video conference is a type of conference call where participants can also see each other. It is often used to share online with multiple people without everyone having to be in one physical location.
To conduct a video conference, all participants usually need an Internet connection and a camera integrated either in their computer or in a separate device. There is also special video conferencing software that can be downloaded or used directly in the browser.
Video conferencing is widely used to conduct meetings, presentations, trainings and other types of gatherings online. It can also be a good alternative when it is difficult to meet in a specific location, for example due to travel restrictions or for efficiency reasons.
